As we near Thanksgiving, it is a good time to reflect on the people we care about and all we have to be thankful for. Take the time to tell someone how much they mean to you, or that you appreciate what they do. You will make their day!

Reach out to others by remembering to say "thank you," or by showing a random act of kindness. Pick up the phone to rekindle a relationship with a friend you miss. Don't let anymore time pass by. You both will be so thankful for making the effort to connect once again. Especially during these tough economic times, our lives will be richer if we will remember to cherish relationships, and count our many blessings every day. FASHION TIP

Wear bold jewelry this season! A bold piece can be the centerpiece for an entire outfit. Here are a few tips for pulling off this look:

• If you are wearing a large piece of jewelry such as an oversized necklace, keep the rest of your jewelry more delicate.
• Keep your overall look simple by keeping your outfit subdued. A solid color will really showcase your jewelry and make it the focal point. If you are wearing prints, go easy by choosing a bold piece of jewelry that doesn't have too many colors in it. You don't want to compete with the outfit.
• Confidence is key to pulling off this look.
• Larger pieces are attention-getters, so be prepared to get noticed.

RECIPE

Moist Coffee Cake

1 stick butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 cup flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
8 oz sour cream
1 tsp vanilla

Mix all ingredients together until smooth and place in greased baking pan.

Topping:
1/3 cup brown sugar
3 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Mix topping ingredients together and fold into the smooth batter with a fork. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Slice and serve warm for a special treat.
